How We Work

UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU DO

Selling doughnuts is easy. Selling a repository of twelve million cDNA clones takes a little more thought. So tell us about your gRNA design algorithm, your Gateway that provides M2M services in the ISM band or your patient-centered outreach portal for diagnostic results. We want to understand your product the way you do, you can talk to us–and we’ll bring the doughnuts.

Client Profile: HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology

HudsonAlpha is a not-for-profit biotechnology research institute that provides a community where fundamental research and business can coexist, work together, and thrive. Every facet of the HudsonAlpha campus is designed to facilitate communication between researchers and businesses to help bring crucial genomic drug discoveries, medical devices, and health services to market and educate the public about the impact of genomic technology. A primary goal for HudsonAlpha is continuing fundraising for research, community outreach, support, and campus growth. Our work with HudsonAlpha includes video and animation production, prototyping, application development, and design for fundraising, education, communication, research, and product development.

Client Profile: American Society for Reproductive Medicine

ASRM is a not-for-profit society of reproductive medical professionals, scientists, and experts providing education and outreach to both patients and practitioners. ASRM content addresses complex medical issues, emerging reproductive science and medicine, as well as common clinical and social issues related to reproduction and sexuality. Their dedicated scientific committee creates content for both physicians and patients with communication goals for both audiences. Our work with ASRM requires us to understand and be receptive to an approved language and tone and work directly with members and authors on language details. Visualizations based on approved language emphasize and reinforce a particular subject, or illustrate a technical concept. Our delivery of video content is the end of a development pipeline that includes storyboards, conceptual design, writing, and pre-visualization. Ensuring the message is delivered to the audience concisely and with the language and goals of the committee intact.

Client Profile: Synapse Wireless

Synapse Wireless is an IoT technology innovator working in industrial, municipal, agricultural, and environmental settings. Their focus is on building mesh networks using their hardware and software to integrate already-existing customer equipment. Like us, Synapse is a group of problem solvers. The kinds of challenges they encounter could include; tracking and reordering aluminum bar stock on a factory floor or automatically separating cows from bulls on a cattle farm using an automatic gate and wireless transmitters (no really!) and everywhere in between. With Synapse, their customer breadth and technology depth provides many unique challenges, but the first was identifying their direct customers from an extensive potential base. In the beginning, we worked on general messaging to reach a broad audience, then identified more selective marketing opportunities based on feedback. This feedback helped evolve our video and animation products along with an evolving Synapse brand.
